【Japanese Bathrobe】
The origin of the word, yukata, is believed to be yukatabira. Although it originally referred to a single layer of kimono made of linen that was worn while in the bath, it was gradually used to absorb sweat after the bath. It eventually had a wider range of usage, such as casual indoor clothes and work clothes during the summer, an anti-dust outer on road trips, and a raincoat worn over short-sleeved kimono.
